Upstream’s Policy Director, Chuk Plante will be speaking at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. The lecture, titled Comprehensive Poverty Reduction Strategies in Canada: Policy or Window Dressing? will take place at 10:30a.m. in the Prairie Room of the Diefenbaker Building on the U of S Campus. There will also be a video-cast at the U of R campus.

Chuk is a founding member of Upstream. He currently serves as our Policy Director and has been an integral part of developing the Poverty Costs campaign seeking a comprehensive poverty reduction strategy in Saskatchewan. His work highlighted that poverty costs our province $3.8 billion a year.
